Made a trip to Beachy Head in Sussex a few weeks ago. I must confess that the first thought which comes to my mind whenever i think of this stunning piece of the Coastline is its centuries old history as a notorious suicide spot. However, the overwhelming feeling i felt as i sat looking out at the ocean from the top of the chalk white cliffs was tranquility. Perhaps its because so many people have taken such huge decisions about there future or lack of whilst perched there, but i defy anyone not to feel some kind of emotional connection to the fragility of humanity. The tourists arrive by the bus load to visit a piece of our national history, a place where our liberty was defended and our freedom fought for, but looking down at the rocks and sea below its somehow clear why so many have come here to make their own kind of freedom reality.

Made a long overdue trip back home (Scotland) last week. James (www.bigwhisper.co.uk) and i took a couple of days out around Perthshire as well as St Andrews to grab a few shots.

Walkers make their way to the monument pictured below, a monument which appeared to have no significance other than being a lookout point in Lower Largo, Fife the spiritual home of Robinson Crusoe, real life cast-away Alexander Selkirk on who's travels the novel was based. I also took a shot of a young woman who for some reason decided to take her pint out to sea with her off the beach at St Andrews.
